I watch a lot of cooking shows and I read quite a few magazines related to the culinary arts. I’ve found that pizza desserts are fast becoming the new cupcake! Pizza desserts are quick and easy to prepare. And, because they’re so simple to make, even the most basic recipe can help a no-frills cook plate a scrumptious and innovative dessert option.

In just the last few months, I have seen pizza dessert recipes using everything from fruits to liquors. In fact, in the same way that cupcake and specialty coffee and tea shops are all the rage, I fully expect pizza dessert pubs to pop up across the country. Why, who ever thought we’d be paying nearly $5.00 per cup for specialty coffees? I would venture to say that in the next two or three years, pizza dessert pubs will be all the rage and those specialty coffee shops will be trying to find a suitable drink to accompany the new dessert option! It will be interesting to see if this prediction comes true. If so, what will be the rage - savory pizza desserts with a comfort food appeal, or sweet treats shining in jellies?
